Mont Aigoual

Meyueis is located at the foot of Mont Aigoual, the highest peak in the Gard at 1567m.

It is one of the major massifs of the Cevennes National Park, and today a 4-season nature resort thanks to the setting up of numerous paths for amateur and experienced sportsmen. The forests offer calm and relaxation, and can be discovered along the paths and arboretums. At its summit, the Météosite - the highest inhabited weather observatory in Europe - dominates and lets us look out over the Mediterranean Sea.
